When you and your guests need to make airline reservations, call American Airlines at 1-800-433-1790 from anywhere in the United States or Canada and refer to your Promotion Code or go online to www.AA.com and choose More Flight Search Options and insert the promotion code in the appropriate box.
A reservation service charge of $25.00 USD per ticket will apply for tickets purchased through American Airlines Reservations, subject to change. For airport purchase the service charge is $35.00 USD per ticket, subject to change. If the purchase is outside the US or Canada, ticketing charge may vary and will be in the currency of the country of purchase. At this time there is no ticketing charges for reservations made on www.AA.com.
The percentage discount can be booked on-line at www.AA.com for American Airlines and American Eagle flights only. Itineraries involving any Oneworld or Codeshare partner airline must be booked through our Meeting Services Department at 800-433-1790 if calling from the US and Canada. International attendees should call their local American Airlines reservations number with the above Promotion code.

Getting to and from the airport
The San Antonio International Airport is approximately 8.5 miles (15 minutes by car) from the downtown business district.
Shuttle service
Shuttle service to the downtown area is $18 one-way or $32 round-trip; Northwest area (near SeaWorld) or JW Marriott is approximately $39 one-way or $60 round trip; Westin La Cantera is approximately $26 one-way or $42 round-trip. Look for the shuttle service kiosks in both terminals near baggage claim, or book your trip in advance and get a discount.
Taxi
Traveling with a friend? Two to six people ride for the price of one. Approximate fares, not including tips, to the downtown business district from the airport are $24-$26; fares to the northwest area (near SeaWorld) are $39-$41; fares to the Westin La Cantera Resort or JW Marriott are $33-$35.
Getting around San Antonio
Directions and parking for the Convention Center
The Convention Center is an easy walk from most hotels in the downtown area. View directions to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
Streetcar
If you’re in town for a few days and want to take advantage of the streetcar, your best deal is to buy a one-day pass for $4. Order your pass online or stop by the Downtown Information Center. Passes are also available at the pass outlet centers. When you get to town, pick up a streetcar brochure in your hotel lobby. All three streetcar routes take you to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
River taxi
The river taxi (Rio Taxi) stops at 39 locations along the River Walk. Purchase a one-way pass for $5, a 24-hour pass for $10, or a 3-day pass for $25. View the Rio Taxi route. Look for the river cruiser with either the black and yellow or the black and red checkered flags.
Taxi
There is a minimum charge of $5 for taxi travel within the downtown area. Two to six people ride for the price of one.
The Sightseer Special Bus
The Sightseer Special (Bus 7) runs daily between the city’s top tourist sites. See them all for one price – River Walk Streetcar Station, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Alamo, San Antonio Museum of Art, Japanese Tea Garden, Brackenridge Park, San Antonio Zoo, Trinity University, University of Incarnate Word, Witte Museum, and San Antonio Botanical Garden.
Bike-share program
B-cycle is Texas’s first bike-share program and a green alternative to traditional public transit. Day visitors can purchase a 24-hour pass between 5 am and 10 pm at one of 14 convenient locations throughout downtown San Antonio. Return bikes to any B-cycle station at any time.
